how much for putting a clutch in an RT

hi my clutch is on its way out, how much is it gonn cost me in labour? Is it very difficult, or do i need to take it to a garge to get done

No clutch replacement is gonna be easy, on a 16v its a nightmare job, which is either engine out or moving the subframe to get to it.

On an RT I suspect it might be a bit easier, not so much engine to get in the way if you see what I mean...but still not exactly a DIY job. Get a quote from Renault then halve that and that should be the price from a clutch specialist.
 


35 quid for the clutch kit inc all thrust bearings etc. ANyway, if you do it yourself, itll take a day. Jack the car up, take off the bonnet, unplug everything, disconnect the gearlink, disconnect the driveshafts (make sure you have a new pin to put in the right side driveshaft where it connects to the sun wheel). Unbolt the gearbox, lift it out, unbolt the old clutch, put on the new, bolt it all back up....and your done
