i think it takes a bout a week as you have to wait for the paint to cure etc

car will be out the bodyshop the same day if you take it in first thing of a morning,

why can body shops get things done so fast but when using tinnys you need to wait longer?

do they use heat guns/special paint? whats the deal with fast painting/drying/curing/laquering?

cars are baked off at high temperatures to cure the paint so its touch dry, itll take a few days/weeks for it to cure 100%

right i have been to quite a few bodyshops today etc and tbh the one that filled me with the most confidence etc wants £500 to fully cc my car . everything . this included a courtesy car :) and they will have the car for two and a half days . this sounds good to me . its ctually a porshe specialist one .

if you pay £500 for colour coding your car you want your head seeing to.

ill do it for £250 if you bring the car down and leave it with us for the day

now you cant turn that down,

  Never above 25mpg
Ive been quoted £400 by two different bodyshops, and thats a cash in hand job... e.g. less the VAT.. I thought that was rather expensive..

Sorry to hijack btw I've just wanted to know myself for some time :)

Relevant to this topic, thought i'd quickly ask.. See when your getting your bumper colour coded, and the side door panels, do you have to buy new ones, which can then be painted?

Or can you paint the original black trim?

Could be a stupid question. But just checking.

Cheers guys
