How much would YOU pay....

Adtmits and Ben_P have done some stunning work really. I guess its relative to the amount of work that needs doing I would imagine, but in the £50 brackett i'd guess.

Me and ben are charging £40 a car. Which is cheap when you consider it take 2.5-3 hours and the cost of product and pads. We use poorboys and megs products, and one autoglm product. if you want a run down, drop me a PM.

All depends on the shape of the paint, and time taken. Around £50 here but can go either way depending on condition. If it only took me 2 hours for example it would be more like £30 quid.

What process and how many stages have you been quoted on?

Depends on who is doing it and what they do, if its a full wash clay pc and detail then obviously more than just doing a couple of passes with the PC. Also depends on who's doing it, some people on here would be worth upto a ton to do a proper job on it and some others i wouldnt let within 10ft of my car let alone pay them to go to work on it.

Paint shape - Paint condition, how much polishing its going to need to take the swirls out.

Exactly if you have been quoted wash, clay, machine polish and sealant or wax that's a good days work.

if the molecular structure of the paint is not tightly formed into a helix then it can can fractionally longer to PC a section of bodywork, The bi polar molecular consistancy of Renault paint means that a car can be full PC'd in the amount of time it takes and average person to have full intercourse and fore play with his spouse (including dinner and movie)

ambient air temperature is a major factor also, ideally the temp should be anywhere between, 20-25'C, the lambs wool mit should ideally be from a New zealand lamb, fed grass and a small amount of hay in winter, it should be between 3 and 4 months old when slaughtered, if the lamb is any older, the wool is too harsh, and will leave swirl marks on your car.

Mate, I dont what your issue is but everytime detailing is discussed there are sly digs like this. At the end of the day myslef and ben have done a couple of members on here and various other cars. As ive said previously, it is a hobby nothing more. I am aware of the limits as a 'hobby' hence we have shyed away from rotary's etc. If you want the full on experts then you pay accordingly. But we have had excellent results for reasonable price.

I apologies in advance if the wasnt aimed as it seemed, but it has seemed like this on several threads.

Paranoia set in? There are 3 people on this forum i'd let near the paintwork on my car (Brazo, Rich and 182_blue if you must know) anyone else i'd view with differing degrees of caution simply because I'm picky about my car and know only too well what someone lacking in skill or knowledge can make a hash of it. If you think that i view you at the 10 ft end of that range then thats your perogative.

paranoid.... Nope.:D

Ive never met you, neither have never seen our work in the flesh, I would never try to pretend that I had Rich, Brazo or 182_blue's knowledge. Hence I would happily ask them for advice.

Im neighbours with wd_pro who i know is into his detailing! I've never asked him what he charges cause thats down to him and the person he's dealing with! But i do know he can spend up to two days doing a longer job with heavy swirled cars, such as the gt3 he did. Just a matter of trying to twist his arm to do mine for free now lol!
You reading this peter! nudge nudge wink wink!

Is it neccesary to slaughter the lamb, just to get it's wool? I though they would just trim it..... :rasp:

And does anyone provide a serivce when the lamb is slaughtered in-line with my religious beliefs? :clown:
