How often does my car need servicing

lol, ok so its probably a bit of a dumb question - sorry! - but im not sure

its only done about 20,000 miles so far and i think it was serviced when i got it from the dealer (about 3 mths ago) - so do i need to get it done annually or is it when its done a certain amt of miles?

what model and year is it? if its the current shape clio i think all petrol models its every 18,000 except the 172 which is 12,000

its an x reg/yr 2000, 1.2/grande - petrol

should be every 18,000 from what i know but best bet is to find your vehicle documents and it will tell you in the service book the garage stamps up when they service it

Vic i service mine every 4 weeks to keep it tip top but if your not going to cane it every 3 months

I havent got a service book - do i need one?

i didnt get one when i bought the car and phoned the dealer straight away - he said it would be post that day.

3 mths and several phone calls later ive given up!!

Done about 5k since the last oil chnage ...

ideally every 6k.....with a fully synthetic, in theory, u should get 10k or more out of it, but its always best to have fresh oil in there

Ok - so i think i will probably get it done once a yr (i do about 10/15k miles each yr) - that shud be ok?

i can remeber sumone telling me it needed to be done before winter, but cant remeber why, lol - so will get it done then. This is the last question i promise, lol - any idea how much a service costs??

totally depends where you go

you could get it done locally for about £100 or even less maybe, go to Renault and it will be £200+ id imagine........for a full service anywayz

might sell the car and get a push bike, lol - cant belive how much it costs to run a car!!

lol, think he was messing about and even if he wasnt im guessing he does it himself rather than pays someone, ive just had the first service on my 172 done and it cost £99 but i supplied the oil myself which worked out for fully synthetic mobil at about 60 odd quid so i expect you would pay about £130 for a minor service and around £200 for a major one, just a guess tho (oh and that was at a renault main dealer )
