how to bleed brakes

mas

  MK7 GTD & Mini GP
get a garage to do it mate, you buy a kit from halfrauds to do it for 20... i got mine bled professionally today for 15

  Mk1 1.4RT
Had a go at mine today. Snapped a bleed nipple :-D

Basic idea is, get a one man bleed kit from halfords for a fiver, get a bottle of brake fluid £4 something from gsf. Follow the instructions on the kit following this sequence.

Rear-Right
Front-Left
Rear-Left
Front-Right

Ensure the reservoir doesn't go below the min mark at any stage.

I got to the Rear-Left before i snapped a nipple, was going so well until that point!

Worth noting that sequence is for NON-ABS MK1's.

Doesn't matter what sequence you do the brakes in so long as you ensure a good constant stream of fluid comes though (say 30 seconds worth) without a bubble etc before closing the nipple again.

so do u need 2 pour fluid in as it is draining out??
If youy get one of those 1 person easy bleed kits you don't as the bottle you get holds a load of fluid anyway.
