How To Clean Spark Plug Chambers

as title.

I believe my poor cold running and bad idleing is down to oil being in the spark plug wells. I took my ignition leads off yesterday and three had bits of oil round the bottom. I cleaned it off and it runs a lot better but still not perfect.

Whats best to clean them with, and do I need to take the spark plugs out?

Kitchen towel if theres still some down there try the trigger lid squeezy thing from a windolene bottle or similar and squirt it out.

take them out, oil will drain into the cylinder and just burn out again, no worries.

Just clean it with a rag.

ive had oil in mine for years................hasnt made one bit of difference.

as long as the blug leads are clean onto the plugs it shouldn;t hurt. To proper clean it out take the rocker cover out completely to get inside and then you can just wipe it out no probs. Bit of a faff but if you wanna do a job its worth doing right...

my willy is the same, its the cam cover gasket - need a new one , east job though , few bolts - and there you go!!

or stop using gaskets and use instant red, it wont lean anymore.
