how to get power lead into car

how do u get a power lead for a amplifier wiring kit from the battery into the main chambre? there a preferred side and any grommits i should be looking for?

I cant seem to source a sutable place without drilling, and i dont really want to do that. Also its 0 gauge power lead, so not the weediest of wires.

any help much appreciated

grommet behind glovebox for the bonnet release cable

take it out and drill the rubber grommet to the required size

job done

cant see to get the top half of the grommet out, theres a power lead connectedinto it already onstructing it from coming out, ive managed to have a right old knaw at it, and manged to get a small hole, im gona try and squeeze my lead theoug now, when its in the top tray bit how do i get it to the battery? do i have to drill through the metal?

ok success on getting the wire through the grommit, just need to know the best way to go now to get it from the tray to the battery?

wats every1 else now? or is it inevitable that i have to drill through the side of the metal to allow the wire through the tray section>?

ok finally got it through, had to drill though. cheers for the help guys, wll rute the cable under the trim next

Erm, drilling the tray? My cable just goes to the grommet from the battery - no drilling..

Trim takes a little longer.. best way I found, was lift trim up slightly.. then take the seatbelt bolt out.. then you can get it all fitted nice.. else youll have loads of problems getting the cable through, or it wont fit right! Just a little tip.. hehe.

whey sorted routing it today, i managed to do it in like half hr, wasnt too bad, first of all i clippd the side trim out, and worked it a bit till i managed to give myself enuf room to wedge the start of the wire under, clipped it into one of the wire clips and carried this going every clip about every 10cms or so, so its extremely neat, and then when i got to the back seats, pulled the rear bench up, and tucked it under the carpet running to the centre of the boot, into my distribution block on the rear side of my enclosure. Loks extremely neat. all the trim went down better than i started with, and theres no trace of a wire there at all newhere across the route. very pleased with myself, many thanks guys, next is the rcas and the rem and the speaker lead wires, will attempt all this on sunday, and fit my clarion cd headunit.
