Ye, not really what you wanted to hear but if you really wanna make your 1.2 into a 172 the best/cheapest way would be to sell yours and buy a 172, you can pick up a used 172 for pretty good prices now.

If your spending cash on the 1.2 for insurance reasons or whatever why not buy a nice bodykit and make it look a bit more individual? I dont understand what the point is in making a 172 replica (although that silver one was nice someone put on the site with the 17s on). Apart from the interior you can probably do better things with the styling of a clio than just putting 172 stuff on.

Youre all forgetting S-Dee may not be able to afford insurance/running costs for a 172 which makes the buy a 172 comments utterly pointless. Theres no harm in making it look like a 172, just as long as he doesnt stick 172 badges on.

I was thinking of getting the front bumper and wings but after seeing Pretenders Clio i didnt think the wheels looked quite right (didnt come out far enough), so ill save my money.

Right thanks too all the posts, and thanks too all the people who class me completly stupid and thinki id have a 1.2 if i didnt have too. Insurance wouldnt be too good considering im 17...I want to do something smart too my car and i love the 172 look, however im considering options thats why i wanted a rough idea about this.

Dont give up on the 172 idea. People are saying buy a after market kit to make it individual, well you can make the 172 kit individual, it just takes abit of imagination. (By the way have you seen some of the excuses for bodykits that companies are bring out! lol) You could get around the so called problem of the wheels not coming out far enough by fitting 15mm spacers, although if you did this it might put abit of pressure on other components if its lowered, IMO I like the way the wheels sit slightly in.

Everyones entitled to their opinion, thats why its called a discussion forum and not a I know best forum.
