how to take a wing off

done one onm my mk1, the hardest part was the bolts behind the bumper, other than that piece of piss!

Front or rear?

Front is just a few bolts rear, well, get your angle grinder out.

need 2 try 2 re-shape mine a bit better after a crash

doesnt look 2 hard apart from where it goes under my side skirts, its quite thin the actual wing isnt it??

Put valver wings on - cheap and look so much better.

Midge m8 how did it go with ur wing??

me and Pete (PJVTS) took mine off sat morning, was a right mission lol

needed 2 undo all bolts on top, then theres 1 that goes inside near the door fold

then we had 2 undo part of sideskirt 2 get a bolt under that, then we needed 2 take the wheel off and remove the mud guards, then we had 2 unclip front corner of the bumper

wasnt as easy as wed planned lol, but got there in the end and if u have better tools than me u should or shouldve found it easier

my tools r crap and my adjustable spanner fell apart in my hands while trying 2 use it lol, thats how bad it is :-(

on saturday i had both wings off and swapped both over, pretty easy, i didnt need ot take my wheel off though pretty confused as to why you did?? i broke one plastic clip thing though but that was on the sh*t car, i have a nice non bent wing noow

cant remember why we took it off now either lol

think my wing was pretty badly bent as was the inner wing so we needed 2 take mud guards out 2 release everything including bumper a little bit

+ i wanted a mud gaurd out as my front wheel rubs on it

went back 2getha alot quicker anyway and was soo easy 2 bend, scares ya really how easy they bend lol, inner wing was slightly stronger but with a lil persuation was moved easily enough

well we took it off coz the tools were limited - it took 5 mins to take the wheel off and coz the rsi has skirts and full bumpers it was much helpfull!

But Dave when you do get the new wing well use my tools lol
