How to tell if wax/sealant is still on??

As title, I could probably post this in the questions thread but yeah. Lol.

Anyway, is there a foolproof way to tell if there's a wax or sealant still on the car?

For example. I wax a car today. It rains mud storms next day. Day after it's dry. Cars coated in shite but wax should still be underneath right.

How can you prove that?

This way i can monitor how much products I actually use as I go mental at the moment with how much I use. Waterless wash a panel then wax it again. I know it's OTT but i can't tell!

The way that water beads is a good indication as to whether there's still wax/sealant still on the paint

Water behaviour is the best indication, it doesn't mean protection isn't there but the repellency is diminished.

Ability to sheet water from an open hose is a good test. On an unprotected car the water 'cling' to the bonnet for a long time.
