How would I know if mines an import?

hi all, everytime i give my reg to the dealer over the phone, its not recognised!
how would i know if its an import.:S

yep, also you should have all the import details in the service wallet. i'e who approved the car into the country, safty checks, all detail stickers placed where they should.

I've shocked a few people when they've come in for work. go to take the bumper off, no alarm sensor, "import is it" "WHAT"

Some people will say they should be cheaper to buy but generally I'd say it amkes no diff.

no real world difference once they're down to sub £4k. plenty worse things to worry about

Identical spec bar the differences listed above. The only thing i'd be concerned about would be the alarm. Is this not a pre-requisite for the majority of insurance policies?
