Having never had one done as they've always been supplied or not needed, where's the best place to go for one, or is there only one place?? Where and how much??

You can do them by text, costs £4 a time. Just text the Reg plate to a number and get a message back giving you details.

There are several differant types, the last one i got gave all details except for if there was any finance, and that was £9.95. With finance details, went upto about £30!

There's loads of places about though, i'd say £30 is a reasonable price to pay for a FULL report

Just want to know of any accidents or if it's an import really, pretty sure there's no finance as the bloke is an MD!

Well i used My Car Check (www.mycarcheck.com i believe) but i did it over the phone and they tell you there and then, and then e-mail you the report also, as said was £9.95

I use hpi, you get looads of info, you need the reg number, chassis number & mot number.
I know its alot but it is worth it.

Sure is mate, not going to check it just yet, see how the car turns out tonight. I know I'm only going to look at it but keep getting cold feet, will I miss the 172? will I buy a money pit? Then I look at the coupe and think mmmmm, looks the nuts!!
