Clio 182 LY
Just finished the rebuild on my 172 engine, the problem piston has been replaced and the head checked as well. All fitted with new gaskets etc. Have also fitted new leads, and new plugs as well as new injectors, all of which have been re-tested and work correctly. Timing is also correct, and double checked by someone else.
However, just one quick question when you remove the plug lead C (see diagram below) at the coil the engine still idles correctly and there is no noticable drop in revs, however with the lead removed the car misfires at any revs over idle.
What could be causing this, any ideas? Once all the leads are fitted, the car runs fine it pulls strongly and has no misfires at all, only other thing is the slightly lumpy idle.
If anyone knows why it may be doing this, would be greatly appreciated. Is this normal, and is it to do with the standard map that effects the idle to adjust emissions etc?
Thanks.

Lead C when removed, gives no difference in engine revs however the car does not run without misfire with it removed, once re-connected the engine runs smoothly and no misfire/problems.
It goes to the spark plug 3rd from the left of the engine.
