HT Leads, quick help needed

  Integra Type-R DC2
Just been changing HT leads and coil pack. Got to the last lead, pulled it out and the rubber washer that sits at the end is still sat around the spark plug. Be fucked if I know how to get it out of there... Anyone got any ideas?

Nah, Dynamique 1.2. I dunno, might try but its stuck pretty fast. Ive tried pushing the lead back in to try and relocate the two tabs but that didnt work.

Only way to get them out is long nose pliers and a wire with a hook at the bottom.

Be careful tho you dont damage anything.

Once out, the best way to stop it happenign is to take the rubbers out and put some super glue to hold them in on the edges. Perfect after.

Yer happened to me before.

Takes a while getting them out but it is possible.

As i said putting a tiny bit of glue on the new ones will prevent this happening in the future :)

Good Luck with it !

How do you remove those rubbers? Sat there for a few minutes trying to dig one of the new ones out with a small screwdriver. Was originally just going to insert the new HT lead minus the rubber but gave up.

The rubbers are held into the plastic by 2 pretruding edges into the plastic shaft.

Look down the bottom and you will see 2 squares, push them in and dig the rubbers out. They maybe a lil tight from new, but once they have been in the car for a few days they will f**k up like the last ones!

I took mine out, added some superglue and popped them back in, they never came out again.

Yeah, pushed the two tabs in and started going round the rubber, but it was quite tight so decided not to force them and risk damaging something.
