HTC Desire Z Deleting all text messages....

Last night my phone had a hissy and crashed, was mid way through trying to send a text when it happened.

I had already downloaded "message sync" and had backed up my messages only a few days ago. So I tried to restore my messages but they too had gone

does anyone know if and how I can get them back? and if this is likely to happen again...?

Common problem!

You sure they are lost? Where does it backup to?

I use smsbackup+ and it backs them up to a folder in Gmail.

However sometimes they wont restore as although the inbox appears to be empty, they are still somewhere on the phone. I downloaded one of the mass sms deleter things and deleted all the messages then done a restore.

Mines has done it about 4-5 times now. pita.

They should be backed up on the SD card... but thats empty

I was considering uising that smsbackup+ but was a liitle concerned letting it into my gmail acc...
