Hub & Fluid Advice Needed!!!!!

  Oyster Card
Okay lads, I've got a dodgy bearing somewhere on my 1.4
I was wondering would the hub from a 1.2 fit on it?
Failing that is the rear and front wheel bearings diffrent sizes as I don't know which bearing is knackard

Also, what fluid do you recommend, a mate is coming down on Friday to sort the bearing out and bleed the brakes.

My brakes feel pants now they were really sharp a few months ago but I drive hard. He says it probably needs new fluid.

Bearing from the rear won't fit on the front. The hub from a 1.2 should fit if it's the same bolt spacing between the hub and strut bolts - it will be 52mm or 54mm. To sort the bearing he will need to take it to a garage to get the bearing pressed out and a new one pressed in.

Thats exactly what he said to me, about taking it to a local garage and getting them to use a press if the hub doeesn't fit.

Also found something else out which is rather worrying to say the least

If I put my handbrake on full; go to the rear of the car and rock either one of the back wheels clockwise or anti, the wheels seem to move about 1cm each way like they would minus the handbrake even though it's done up tight

Any ideas or is there meant to be a bit of play, my Dad's car doesn't do it and I can't test the 1.2 Clio as it's got a flat plus with the amount of problems I'm having with that fcker I wouldn't need a handbrake it still wouldn't move.
