Luckly he crashed into the back of me at a t-junction so im fully covered any which way.

Anyone know how much is a new rear bumper and boot lid (worst case senario)
How much for resprays?

Under the boot liner, there is a bulge and creases in the weld points, can these be mashed out or is this more serious?

Where should i go to get this checked out? if i go to renault it will be all doom and gloom.
I dont want my car written off, i like it.

Not a massive impact, its bent the rear bumber out of shape. Boot lid wont shut unless slammed. Boot lid creased / dented. Light cluster knocked. A small ish bulge on the boot floor and creases up the sides under the light cluster.

Bad news lad, my dads friends buys and sells crash damaged cars, ive seen boot floors how you say yours is and they have been pulled out no problem, worst case is a new boot floor, wouldnt be a right off for that.

the insureres will prolly send it some where , boot will prolly bend out , light clusts are cheap.

IF its a write off its not all bad, cos gap insurance covers it and ill get its retail value back.
As in the amount i paid for it.

Im sure they wouldnt write it off (i hope)

Its NOT a write off.... well mine wasnt anyway!! Was in the middle of a shunt.... bumper went, boot damaged, lights broke, echasut snapped, boot floor creased (to the point i couldnt get the spare wheel out), front bumper broke, grill snapped, bonnet bent up, fan broken.... and they repaired it at cost of £3000!!

I didnt even claim whiplash which im proud of 'cos i know most people would....

even if it isnt written off your going to lose s**t loads of value once its been recorded as suffering accidental damage/claims on a HPI check...

id be praying its a write off then get another fresh straight car!

^^ Guy accidental damage doesnt show on HPi check mate. Common misunderstanding.

HPi checks will only show total loss claims. Not any claim on insurance.

Doesnt sound like a right off.

Mates just had/havings his trophy repaired, new door/wing/sill and associated trim, front suspension, steering rack. roof skin, subframe, drive shaft.... they repaired that.

2, Find the best bodyshop in YOUR area & TELL your insurance thats where it's going. Do not let it go to the 'approved repairer' ala cheap bodge specialist.

rear ender, same things, bent under lights, boot floor creased etc.

He got it fixed off their insurance, boot floor bent out, new rear etc

think they charged the other insurance £3000 or summat daft

some one did the same to me in me 1.2 52reg...... creased the rear quatres and creased me roof!!!.......they replced the boot floor and pulled the creses out with a jig.... £595 thats whats on me insurance doc.....they said if it was 800 they were gonna write it off lol..... was a brand new car when it got hit....few months old
