I Smell Eggs....!

Right, ive used the search but it comes up with people who have a CAT problem, I dont like cats though.

So what other reasons could it be smelling of eggs/sulphur? And how do I go about fixing it on ITB's?

Not gearbox as thats been checked recently, I hope the battery is not over charging as I have a nice sound system,

Pollen filter is fine, its also been changed recently with a service.

Its normally a sign of unburnt fuel entering the CAT but if you've not got one its unlikely to be that.

How dies the car run at idle and under partial load... any minor missfires, hesitation or signs of it feeling flat? Have those bodies been balanced yet?

Regarding the cabin filter, pull it and check its not wet.

that would be my guess too

i had it years ago on an old fiesta with a knackered alternator, but i carried on driving it until i reached a local garage. i had my head under the bonnet when the guy put the volt meter on the battery and it went off the scale. he tried it again and the battery exploded lol

luckily pretty much all the acid had boiled away so the only damage was my t-shirt falling to pieces a few days later

Runs fine at idle and normal running, no hesitations either, if i plant my foot down it goes just brilliantly. I had the bodies checked and they are running as they should.

The pollen filter is clear and dry, changed just other a month ago.

Then its either someone has left an egg mcmuffin under a seat or you've got another issue with something like AC or an electrical unit.

I would say you battery is being over charged. This happened with my Williams and the battery eventually blew up an reeked of egg.

Only happens when I boot it, like on the private track near donnington, tried to keep up with a mates M3 and it started to smell rotten after the 50mph mark, ive done it several times since down the M1 and it still happens.
