The Mk2 Ph1 standard door speakers are 5.25" (13cm).

Re. Steering controls, most main manufacturers will work. You have to buy the adaptors seperately, First the steering control module thing itself, then the adaptor that adapts that to your make of headunit.
So brands like Sony/Alpine etc should work. Its around £40 for the adaptors I tihnk

will there be tweeters and rear speakers fitted ?

Depends. If there are rear speakers fitted, they will be the same size as the fronts. You'll have to check yours though not all models came with rear speakers.
As to tweeters, I don't know if ph1 have tweeters? I think they do, they'd be in the dash either side.
