idling fluctuations... now it wont start!!

Been having idling fluctuations the past couple of days.

Jumped in my car today and tried starting it. It turned over and started the revs hit 1500 then dropped off. No power in the accelerater. This happened about 4-5 times.

Then I tried again and it started. Drove around the block to see if it would cut out but okay.
Turned it off and now nothing again!!

Anyone know what this could be?

Any help would be appreciated....ALOT!! As I need to drive back to south wales on Tuesday (from Portsmouth)

Its a 1.6 16v if that helps!!

Get in on a diagnostic machine, should be a few codes. From your description it could be a throttle body issue. Could.

It was the crank shaft sensor mate

I also have a thread running on my 182 not starting . did your crankshaft sensor give an error code ? Did you clean or replace it with a new one ?
