Idling Rough

Hi, wondering if anyone can help me? Have an 03 clio cup with only 24k on the clock, its started to make a tapping noise. I dont think its the tappets or anything, as i can only hear it from inside the car. It only appears after iv been idling for 30 seconds or so. Its not dependant on how hot the engine is either. The idling is not quite spot on either, slightly rough, as i can feel the revs being unsteady when sitting in the car. Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

Has it been serviced? Change the oil might help.

hmm...going to change the oil and sparks this week, see if that helps cheers. It had sat about for a good few months before i bought it so it might help:approve: . If anyone else has any ideas, it'd be appreciated. Cheers

mine idles like c***p too, really rough...

maybe coilpack needs renewing... but ours are still new, 2003 , so i'm not sure..

anyone ?

No tapping, but my 172 idles up and down as well. Nothing major, just not perfectly smooth. Mine was serviced in march, only has 28k, and even after new oil it did'nt chnage things
