On my way home from work, a spark plug which must have been loose chewed it way through the ignition lead.
I nursed the car a mile or so home to take a look at what happened.
In my haste, I didn't mark which cylinder the leads came from. The coil pack and top of the leads are marked from my last plug change.
So I broke out a set of spare HT leads I had, which fit quite nicely, and now my car will turn over but not start.
I need to work out which cylinder each goes in. Is it a standard pattern or variable between cars?
I know one is correct, because that lead was mullered when I took the inlet plenum off.
The other 3 seem like they are in the correct place.
Any advice?
P.S. Pics of the plug/coil to follow as a cautionary tale for those who don't correctly torque their plugs...
