I'm confused?

Can someone answer me a simple question, am I right in thinking that the aux belt is the same belt as the alternator one just a different name??

Right now if it's the same belt can anyone tell me why on k tec's website they are priced @ around £20 but a main dealer wants £210 supplied and fitted and say it only takes an hour to fit?

I know stealers are expensive, but is this not going too far??
