I'M F**KING FURIOUS!!!!

  Astra CDTI SRI
Cut a long story short, someone rear-ended me in Febuary. Got his details and rang Admiral to tell them.

I took it to the garage and there was no damage so I rang them and told the that I wouldn't be making a caim. Blah blah.

I got my renewell through and noticed it had gone up by about £80.

Shopped around and Bell were going to do 10 months for £350.

Just rang them up and was just about to pay when the said that I had made a claim in Febuary. I argued and said I hadn't, they looked again and said that I hadn't, but I had had an accident so my premium would be more!

So, even though someone crashed into me AND there was not damage to either car AND I did not make a claim, my insurance still goes up. I'm more of a risk apperntly because someone f**king crashed into me!

The stupid thing is I still have 5 years no claims!

I'M REALLY F**KING MAD!!!!

Dude that sucks

Insurance companies take the piss sometimes

Why you ring your insurance? If he went into you his insurance would be paying for your car no?

I can relate to that. Apparently the fact I've made 2 windscreen claims in 12 months means I'm more likely to do so again so I get stung for that. The thing is they know I do 16k a year so the chances of a cracked windscreen are high, but that doesn't stop them charging me for it again because I'm clever enough to realise I can claim for it.

Insurance companies need to be kept a serious eye on because at the moment they are taking us all for a ride.

Well next time I'm not saying anything. f**k them.

You try and do the right thing and you get fucked over for it.

I'm so angry I'm still f**king shaking!

  SMURF!!!
I agree, the only reason it seems you need insurance is in case YOU hit someone, cos even if its not your fault, it seems we get penalised.

Bf's car got broken into - not his fault... but insurance would go up more than what he would have claimed for!!

I'm actually more angry at myself for being honest!

If I had said f**k all, I would be ok!

Depends on the insurer, Privilege for instance didn't change the premium with 2 non fault accidents on it :)

That's why I don't insure my car anymore. Cheaper not to.

You don't?

Not sure why anyone would inform their insurance that someone hit them? The other person's insurance should take care of everything. No honesty required.

thats stupid!!

i was involved in an accident that was settled as the other drivers fault and it bumped my premium up too
