Picking up my 182 on Thursday, first Clio I will have owned, previous cars include a 206, Saxo VTR, 306 GTI6 and currently a Mini. So back to French cars it is for me.

GTI6 was a decent car, loved every minute of owning it, insurance at 19 was a bit of a killer tho.

Any common problems to watch out for on 182's? I'm buying a low mileage 05 plate so wouldn't expect many.....

I had a GTi-6 too. 6 months old black one on an S plate. I was 21 at the time so the insurance was bad for me too.

Not too many faults on the 182, the odd one does keep popping up such as leaking dampers, ecu bracket braking, steering wheel grips ripping and exhausts falling off. Do a quick search on the forum.

Ok maybe a few more probs than I thought! LOL!

GTI6's are 167bhp as stantard iirc, mines was around 180, so yeah roughly the same as a 182. No dodgy turning circle tho with Clio

I remember getting funny looks when trying to park at work. More lock one way than the other. lol

Loved that car. It might just be fond memories but I'd find it hard to say which I have prefered owning, that or the Trophy. I prefered the Pug over my 172 and 182 though.
