Immob probs after disconnecting battery (won't start)

Hi

Surely i'm not going to have to go to Renault just because I disconnected my battery! It was working fine before minus the juddering, stalling etc which made me look into the idle control valve.

I put it all back together fine, though I turn the dash on and the red light is going mad, it's not starting but it's cranking.

Any ideas?

What model/engine is it?

Form what you've said sounds oike you have a Mk2 and if the red light on the dash doesn't go out its the imobiliser which is on. Try another key or otherwsie it sounds like you need to check/chnage /clean the imobiliser sensor ring round where the keys goes as they fail quite often.

Though i got the injection warning light come on but i can't see a problem.
