Clio Maxim 1.4
Hi All, I know it is an age old problem, but was hoping I could get some advice...
My R Reg Clio 1.4 Maxim won't start because the key won't disable the immobiliser.

The light in front of the gear stick keeps flashing...

We've taken off the sensor in the roof to check the contacts as it slides on. And it seemed like one of the metal clips was not making contact.
After taking it out we found that it was broken, so we soldered it back together.

We've also tried using crocodile clips to make the connection more solid, but still no joy...

Clearly not a permanent solution, but just wanted to see if that was the problem...
But still no joy
Have also checked the fuses and seems that they are all there...

Have tried re syncing also, but doesn't seem to do anything.
Can anyone shed any light on what else I could try?
Also, was wondering on the possibility of disarming the immobiliser all together if we can't locate the issue?
Any help would be VERY VERY greatful...
Many thanks
David
