immobiliser problem

hi there, could be buying a mk1 16v next week, only problem is that the immobiliser is guffed(apparently), the guy was going on about just bypassing it, does any1 know if u and how u do it coz im no good with leccys, cheers

If this can be done then why doesn't he get it done before selling

hes not workin and is skint, thats why hes selling it, been told that fitting the ecu from the very first 16v will sort this as it bypasses the mobby
