Imobiliser fault cure?

Car  AMV8, Mk1 Golf
The witch at work has just bought a used clio, its now decided it doesnt want to start, i know about the imobilser fault but whats the cure?

Well seeing as teh women can't go anywhere I would say shes got plenty of time...

i dont want to be too helpfull if you know what i mean lol i really dont get on with the woman but i know how fustrating it is when something doesnt work lol

what exactly is it doing laura? There are sooooooooooooo many reasons for a solid red light.

what model is it? most likely wiring released if it's a 1.2/1.4 iirc. If you don't like her, smile as its going to take a while to source i'd imagine. AA/RAC might be able to help locate an issue, but they might just see it as immobiliser and say go to a dealer. One thing i've learnt with mine is that even though the light is on, it's not always anything to do with the immobiliser.
