can any one help me my sis has a r reg senic 2.0 and the imobiliser has gone down is there anyway of cutting it out as it wont start and she is well skint and renault want £260+vat to fix it :dapprove:

Whats do you mean by gone down it maybe just a poor connection and cleaning the keys will make it work.

You cannot cut it out though its integrated stand along ecu is your only option beyond fixing it which is more expensive.

Depending where she is Matt black or Mike @Rentech will be the best value people I know to contact.

her c/locking has gone down had to get aa out to get her home they said key is ok got good signal new batteries but wont deactivate imobilliser so he checked reiciever all ok he said but he said he has seen some be bypassed

is it not just a case of re-programming the key?? that was the problem with mine renault quoted £48+vat
