Never thought about it until a delightful passenger of mine sprung the question on me today. I obviously have one for my home but what happens with the car?
Doubt it tbh. I dont imagine John Major implemented a second TV Licence to little kids of the 90's who had Sega Game Gears with TV Tuners so I very much doubt it
Apart from BBC News are there any other channels you can watch online realtime?
I always thought owning TV receiving equipment made you liable for the license fee but a mate of mine moved into a flat recently, had his widescreen CRT TV, DVD player, PC, and no TV license.
I told him he was f***ed, so after a little debate we looked it up, and it's only if they can prove you are watching live broadcast that you have to pay (not knowing that probably makes me a thick tw*t?).
They specifically refer to the BBC iPlayer, but as it only shows things after they're broadcast the license doesn't apply. Says that it would be reviewed if live broadcast becomes available online.
thought about a freeview receiver for my motorised screen h/u but is it likely to be worth it is what I ask myself.
3 years ago at 17 I would've loved it, but then that's because all me and my mates used to do was sit in car parks chatting and driving around til god knows when in the morning loving driving that much...
I still love driving. shame it isn't nowhere near as exciting now. lol
