Spoke to Adrian Flux today who gave me a very competitive quote (one of their underwriters is offering special concessions for Renault owners, if anyones interested!!!) and they said that that if I want to make engine modifications then the percentage increase in my premium will be equal to the percentage increase in BHP.
So eg. if I increase the BHP of my engine by 43% from 140 to 200BHP then my premium will rise by 43%.
Does this seem reasonable and is it standard practice? not having any previous experience I am completely in the dark about this! and obviously if im going to send the amount of cash on my engine as I plan to then I am not going to take any risks by not telling the insurance company!
Thanks in advance for any help....
