Induction for Clio RSI

  Clio RSI 1.6
Hey guys, I'm going out tomorrow to buy myself an induction kit, does anyone recommend which one to purchase? I was looking in Halfords at the Pipercross one maybe and wondered if it would fit my car? Or I was looking at the K&N website and saw there were two that are supposed to fit my car, and didn't know which is the best/better one or if only one would fit?

This is the Pipercross-

wouldn't bother if im honest mate, if i was you i'd just get a k&n panel filter or simular. If you need to get a pipercross viper, buy second hand, can pick them up in here/ebay for £50-80.

not really, no difference at all tbh, panel filter will be better then an open filter though, with open cone filter your more likely to go slower as well, all the warm air being sucked in. I had a enclosed filter on my old car and the loss in acceleration was noticeable. its show or go mate. exhaust would give you a nice noise too. But you'll be paying out £150+, k-tec have a few for non sports.

No the panel filter wont give you a noise,

However in my 1.6 16v clio the panel filter feels alot smoother when driving than when i use to have my pipercross in.

Get a K&N panel filter and as mat-nos said run it to your grill.

I have a K&N except i have my fog light removed and a 80mm cold air feed straight through to my air box from there.

Its what you want at the end of the day though :)

Does getting an exhaust make much of a performance difference?
