Can depend on a number of things;

1- your age

2- NCB

3- The Insurance Co



Alot of companies these days are refusing to insure cars with any performance enhancing mods at all!
 
the induction kit is classed as a performance mod therefore you must tell the insurance company , it may or may not be that effective on your insurance , but not declaring it will cause problems if you had to claim .

No they are not exempt because they are still a performance mod by allowing more air to get into the engine, thus increasing power output!
