Info Only - Pre Telephone Kit

I know from a previous post that nobody else is interested in the Pre-Telephone kit you can order with a new Clio.

Despite that I am going to tell you what it consists of because I have spent hours trying to find anybody who could explain what I was spending £100 on.

It appears it isnt a set of Semaphore Flags - which is what I assumed I was paying for.

It is in fact a revised aerial which has a mobile aerial combined. This then has a lead which terminates under the carpet to the right of the driver seat. It also consists of a seperate speaker somewhere, and a mike somewhere. Then under and behind the glovebox is a small socket to connect all this gubbins together (excepth the aerial) and allow muting of the sound system.

It would seem that only Renault hands free kits can make use of any of this based on the responses I have had frome several ICE workshops in the area.

Ho Hum, anybody out there want £100 for a chocolate teapot ?
