Injector issues

I've had a lumpy idle for a while now and a slight misfire at low revs which as been confirmed to be the injectors.
Just wondering if anyone knows the cheapest place to get new genuine injectors from? A link would be great...being welsh and tight fisted...I don't want to pay stealer prices :triumph:

Euro Car Parts, online price is about £40. That's for a Magnetti Marelli one. Same product as GSF and they want about £60.
When I bought one last month the guy on ECP was shocked how cheap it was, just ask for the online price in store.

Thinking about it, I have the same issue as you, I may have to change moreinjectors! One of mine definitely failed, but occasionally I have a slight lumpy idle from cold, and if left for too long the EML starts to flash. Turn off and on its back to normal.

Flashing EML is faulty injector. Apparently you can check their electrical resistance, not sure what to look for on this.

Not always as I've found out. Mines not throwing up my EML. But it's been confirmed by a reputable specialist that it's the cause of the issue.
They'r are still allowing petrol through, just one isn't flowing at the rate it should be making it a but spluttery. Electrical resistance to each one is fine.
Ran some Wynns formular gold through a full tank and it's a bit better...but certainly needs changing.

Can send you one over to try if you like? Not new obviously but it works as it should

Maybe that's why mine isn't throwing a code when the EML starts to flash, and only does so after a while of idle and then turns off when I restart the car, it's like one the limit of being an error. When the one injector did go (and when one wasn't actually connected) it was flashing constant.
With what you have said I may replace the other three and see what happens. I knew I should have done all 4.

You can run the engine and unplug each one and if one doesn't make it run worse, there's your faulty one
Easy enuff to get to? Take fuel rail cover off at front? And will this store the fault codes so I will have a light on dash all time?

Yeah piece of cake mate. Fuel rail off (2 10mm nuts). And unplug each one as mentioned above. Mine didn't store any faults when I did it so I'd assume it's the same for you too. Don't quote me though :kissing:

Try some forte http://www.forteuk.co.uk/product-detail/21/Specialist-Injector-Cleaner
Or some wynns http://cpc.farnell.com/wynn-s/70701/petrol-system-treatment/dp/CP04370?CMP=CPC-PLA
It's helped my case a little. I'll be trying an injector from N4TH4N and if that fails....Swapping the fuel rail and 4 injectors over from my breaker.
IF that fails....then it's time to dig back in to the pockets

I did run a tank of Redex injector cleaner and two tanks of V-power for the first long journey after the winter as it was off the road for about 4 months. Then I started having injector issues - one was broke for sure as it was a 3 cylinder. But then occasinally I get this lumpy idle like what you have described. I will change the remaining three injectors to see if this helps. But I had a think earlier it is as if it is on the limit of fueling incorrectly so it wont give an error but after a while of idle it dips below this limit momentarily and then the EML starts flashing eventhough it is fueling within tollerance. Could be a sign that another injector is going. Just did a 500 mile round trip to North Wales and back for the weekend and got 43mpg on the motor way, so it is not as if it is struggling. If this doesn't work I am seeing it as an excuse to spank out on a new rebuilt, race-prep'd engine with ITB's and cams!! haha! That will definately solve the problem....just the expensive way!

This is exactly what my car does. Let us know how you get on.
No probs, but it won't be until next month or June really. Car is going to be put away and rarely used as I am busy for the remainder of the month then a work trip away so I am going back to the normal car. But at least someone else is having the same issues as me! I thought it was coil pack but the EML flashing said otherwise.m

Ebay: 301890728203

I bought 3 of these at £21.50 per injector and can confirm they're genuine.

Do you have the actual ebay lonk for that chap?
Popped the number in several times now, nothing comes up.

Still having issues with the injectors even after trying one from n4th4n...after swapping a fuel rail and 4 other injectors over from my track build the car just cut out pulling in to the driveway.

That seller seems to have sold out of them now. Did see some others from a different seller for even cheaper that are claimed as genuine. Maybe check those out: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=281919121405&alt=web.
No marks on the plug section in the pictures but there weren't on the ones from the other seller and they turned out to be genuine. Worst comes to worst I guess you could just send them back.

Ahhhh, they're identical to a set for £12 from hong kong...Think I may give them a miss 😅
Just stumbled across these for £24.99 so they're on order instead http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-R...+Sport&hash=item1e90cbeab8:g:cMgAAOSwEgVWQ7mG

My thoughts when I saw them too.
Ironically they're for a cup you worked on Bloke.

The 3 I bought from the other seller didn't have the marks present in their pictures and they turned out to be genuine. I guess some sellers just use generic pictures instead of pictures of the actual items. I agree it's a risk though and I probably got lucky. £24.99 still seems like a decent price

Recently got my injectors from renparts. Was 119 for a set and did make a nice difference.

Is your car Al sorted and running well now ?

gobsmacked about the timing??

what else you done to it? didn't really need anything else, must be one of the best cups around.

pms strut brace and solid top mounts, sabelt steering wheel, cleaned up the bay and painted the inlet/fuel rail cover, fitted the powder coated subframe and front ARB, powerflex bushes arb bushes, rear cup shocks (had normals fitted) ARP rod bolts fitted, TTV racing flywheel, valeo clutch, 5th gear kit with syncro, induction kit (fatty one), new timing belt kit with correct adjustment ;) It was advanced a bit (told Phil this when I test drove it) and the seal on the cam cover was leaking at the back, had only done minimal mileage since you'd done it so I was a bit gobsmacked too.

Still more on the list of things to do. Mainly gearbox rebuild and a decent map done. Injectors first though lol.

I find ECP in shop can beat their online prices pretty much every time.
