injector problem?

Idle is all over the place. The rev counter needle doesn't pick up on the drop and increase of revs bit i can feel it.
Its almost to the point where it feels like it should stall but never does.
Its done it since I've owned it but I thought it was normal having read the idle is rough on these.
It has the 98ron map so I thought it would of calmed it down but it hasn't.
I can see the car juddering so I don't think this is the normal "lumpy idle"
Does this sound like an injector issue? I'm not down on power, just has this annoying judder.
If it is leaning towards injectors then am I best to buy all 4 new, have mine cleaned or buy a used set and test them out first?
Cheers.

Possibility. Unplug each injector individually. See if it makes a difference. Ie if one doesn't make any difference when unplugging theres your issue m8

True ^

I tried this but the difference was very minimal. Any fault codes? Throttle body? Clean the plugs up and TDC sensor, MAP Sensor? Leads / Coilpack very old? CTS?

As you know I have the same sort of issues so will try and keep you updated

Cheers. So do I take one out at a time (leaving 3 in) and see if it improves, or do i need to get a good spare one to swap with the one in taking out.
I don't have any fault codes. Cars on 56k, not sure on the coilpack/leads etc. Throttle body os clean as a whistle, plugs are clean.
I do get a whiff of fuel from the exhaust though ive noticed but I am running the 98ron map so I think that's why it does. Plus it was like it when I bought the car before it was mapped.

Mine also stinks of fuel, and when I'm giving it some action, the cat stinks, so unsure if it's breaking/broken down!?

Re: Injectors... remove the fuel rail guard, then with the engine running disconnect each wiring plug one at a time and listen for running differences. However this doesn't seem proven unless the injector is totally knackered and the car is running on 3 from what I've seen
