"Installing new hardware" Vista question

Every time I connect my printer back up to my laptop it always tries to re-install the thing. However if you cancel the printer still works fine as its already f**king installed!

Any ideas on how this can be prevented so that when I re-connect the printer it just works as normal?

Have done, completely romoved it and started from scratch

when you connect it, select the option that says something along the lines of "do not ask me about this device again"

I dont get a choice tho, it just does it lol
