Hi,

I have a 2004 Renaultsport Clio 182 which is not currently my everyday vehicle. Who are the insurance favourites right now?

FYI - Greenlight will not quote with my postcode.

Anyone apart from Dial Direct in my experience - horrid company - I went with them as they were cheapest on a price comparison! I can only imagine how bad they would be if you had a crash!

Just a heads up that the specialists seem to be unable to quote for my postcode. I live in the north east area of Greater Manchester.

What kind of prices do you get on comparison sites?

Around £450 to £600 before selecting any options, although that’s with my current NCD being applied which is in use on my other car now. AA don’t appear to do multicar like my previous insurer who mirrored the NCD.

I have just insured my 182 - fully comp, protected NCD, pleasure, business etc for just £134 via Quotemehappy.com
The xs was just £50 so suggest you try them - if you use the code Y54BD9 at checkout then they also send you a £50 Amazon gift card so then a years insurance is only £84 ! - 23p a day which was surprisingly cheap and I did check no strings/issues - for whatever reason their quote engine likes 182's.

What a laugh quote me happy were earlier today after seeing your success. I pay £420 for my 200t, they wanted £1640!! 14 ncb, decent(ish) address.

I've just paid £414 with Hastings Premier for my 182. Basically Hastings top cover through confused with a £20 Halfords voucher. Hastings renewal quote was £455. Shite post code 😢
