had my renaewal price come through today for my 1.2 dynamique.....

£572

rang greenlight and asked for a quote on a 197.......£627.90

its only £50 more to insure a 197, why is this - thinking of getting a 197 now

24yrs old - 4 yrs ncb

lowered suspension, 17 alloys, fully colour coded, 1*2 grill, and interior changes.

the price still seems a bit odd to me. I'd like to see how much they add on per mod.

i was told £25 per mod (admin cost)

that does seem might low but i suppose ther is a bell curve for insurance my dad for example can insure pretty much any thing for under £400, but he cant get any one go less than £195, it was the same for my clio (Grp3) as it was for his 1.6 laguna (Grp 11or 13) that what it bottoms out at lol.
My insuraces was £1300, nowabout half than, and next year its forcast (by just moving all the dates my age etc adding another ncb et) to be about £400 but after that it sort of tails off the price drop getting less per year untill i hit 25 with max ncb and then it levels out under £250
i was bored and started quoting random cars and next year id be able to insure a focus RS for £920, but to insure a 1*2 is over £1100,same as focus ST170, thats that about?? the 197s were about £1050. and a trophy was more than a seat leon cupra R £1200.
i couldnt afford to run any of them but it shocked me id have expected the RS to be alot lot more.
