Insurance voidable

Say i insured my car for 12,000 miles.

And i had a crash at 12,001 miles, would my insurance be void?

I asked that last year, as I went over by a couple of hundred. Cant remember what the answer was though.

i believe there is some grace is you go over your estimated mileage, as it is only an estimate, but youll get in sh*t if you estimate youll do 6,000 miles and you end up doing 30,000

they will probly freeze the claim and charge u a "suppliment" for going over the mileage by any considerable amount. So basically u have to pay it for the claim to continue.

im over mine :-( by a lil way :-) oops

renewal in oct so better come clean, or move companys,

think as above, they just charge u 4 the extra mileage, so wont b 2 much unless uve done double ur allowance *cough*

did you actually declare the number of miles on the clock when you took out the insurance? If not then theres not much chance of them knowing how many miles youve done since you took out the policy.

maybe thats because its a low mileage policy? Ive only ever been asked for how many miles per year I do, never been asked how many miles on the clock though.

Its just come to me now. Check the wording on your policy, at the time mine said estimated annual mileage, whereas with Tesco I think it states not exceeding.

See I am helpful. :D
