when in europe how long are you covered for on a uk policy? i assume it varies between policys, or you have to specify how long you'll be out the country
I'm with Adrian Flux and i'm pretty sure i get 30 days cover in Europe , without checking my policy . I would imagine i could extend that if needs be for a fee .
From what i understand all insurance companies have to give you cover in Europe free of charge for a limited period . Must be something to do with being in the EU . But it's limited to third party cover only .
varies between policy. the policy is usually upto 30days in europe, however, there is still an additional premium!
You obviously need the green card, but they are for a minimum of either 14 or 28days. can remember When i went to ring I was only covered for the time i was in europe regardless of what my green car said.
A green card is proof you have insurance in the UK . You used to need them , now you don't so long as you take your insurance certificate with you . You can still get issued with a green card though if you prefer , you'll have to ring your insurance company and get them to send you one .
Your probably better off ringing your insurance company Fred as all insurance companys terms and conditions will differ slightly .
