Intercooler hose

Hi guys. Very amateur mechanic here. I'm attempting to change the valve cover gasket on my mk3 Clio 1.2tce but I can't get the intercooler hose off at the turbo end. Does it just pull? I don't see any obvious connectors and it's very stiff. (I've taken the clip and tape off already)

pull the clip with the silver heat shield off.

Did that but its still not shifting. Is it just a straight pull?

Found out there's another clip similar to the heat shield clip on the opposite side which is holding the plastic hose. It was black with dirt! A job for next weekend hopefully
