Interior fan noise

Hi everyone I have a noise coming from my interior fan when ever I turn it on it starts making a continuous tapping noise and when the fan speeds up so dose the noise and it is getting annoying now, I do have a recording of this but it is not letting me load up sounds, hope this brief description is enough and fingers crossed someone will know what I am talking a bout or has had this happen to them

I had something that sounds similar; turned out to be some leaves had found there way into the air ducts and were catching on the rotors of the fan when it spun.
Removed the leaves and noise gone.
If it's not leaves it certainly sounds like something catchng the fan rotor as it spins.

Do I get at the air ducts from under bonnet or removal of top half of the dash?
