Interior light fault? Or?

So my interior light works absolutely fine with a standard bulb, as soon as I put an LED bulb into it, I can only switch it on or off, the door opening setting doesn't work. (Have tried various different LED's)



I've just added LED footwell strips and really can't cope with having a yellow roof bulb and bright white footwells



Help?

Its because the polarity flips thus an led light needs to have a rectifier wired in with it (this flips the polarity)

I guess it's a lot of work to add one in then?

You could buy another led bulb and wire it in opposite to the other led.
That's a cheaper and easier way around it

I just put my standard one back in and used the LED/SMD in the glovebox! Too much messing for my liking.

Yeah, sounds best option. May just get a super white norm one instead of LED.. Simple options.
