Interior Update

Small update for you...

Ever since putting in the Porsche seats, they've kinda stood out against the grey of the Ph1 interior, so was on the look out for the darker Ph2 interior, managed to get hold of a sport dash, complete with steering wheel, great! fitted in like a dream, minus a few re-wiring details which Ive still got to get sorted.

Was on the look out for interior with just black cloth, wich Im lead to belive is only the cup interior? turns out Dangerous_dave, who hapens to live conviniantly down to road from me, had some interior bits from his cup for sale, spot on!!

Got the rear doorcards and pillas in, just need to get hold of an electric window mechanism to do a conversion and then the front door cards can go on

Few more pieces to get still, gear gaiter, steering wheel insert etc.
got a few plans for interior grab handles, trying to get hold of some old skool polo grab handles, like the ones u get on busses

front door card switches are different colours of wiring so it will be very hard to rewire the new switches in without wiring diagram just a word or warning mate interior looks good mate

Easy to fit mate, straight swap over, have to chop the bottom two screw holes off the ph1 dials to get them too fit, only wiring issues is the hazzard button, locking button and rear heater, also the wiper stalks, there a pain in the arse too, only have one wiper speed atm lol

is it just a case of differernt plugs that they carnt connect or the wiring needs extending? i really want to do it i just dont want to get it and find its more hassle than its worth but it does make a big difference

Looks better dude. But the back still isnt right to me, don't like the floor and looks mismatch with bits of plastic still in there that just protrude and ruin the "clean" look.

diffrent plugs, wires need extending, more wires on one plug then on the new one, the rear window heater is on a circuit board on the ph1 an dhas no wires etc lol

always been a fan of this car, nea so keen on the inside now tho tbh, very VW scene, which i know is where you get your inspiration but dunno just doesnt sit right with me. would have extended the clean smooth look to the interior. looks a bit fussy now,
how about mk4 golf recaros or TT seats, always thought a smooth gloss black dash would look lush
