What's the best product/way of cleaning them without getting smears everywhere?

  Not a 320d
Big roll of industrial blue paper roll....stuff...like youd use to clean hands with at work. or a very clean Mictofibre cloth.

And glass cleaner. I like Meguairs, but its bulk and lasts me years, but if you want to pop to halfrauds then autoglym glass cleaner is good.

Elbow grease, and repeated attempts. Direct sunlight of a halogen light on the other side of window is useful to see smears.

BB, pop down to Halfrauds, AG Fast Glass and a pack of Microfibres. Done.

If you want a more in depth overview, then I can suggest polishes and coatings.

Mr Muscle window cleaner and some kitchen roll for my own cars.

If its a works/customers car, I use Autoglym Glass polish.

Windolene on the insides with kitchen roll does the job for me, no smears at all.

I did used to use AG glass polish, but the powdery residue is a bit of a pain to get off trim.

I use Avery Surface cleaner. Dad uses it for work when cleaning vehicle pannels for signs. f**king expensive though.
