Clio 172 Cup
My Clio 172 cup has started to judder the steering wheel when I get above 50ish. I have seen several posts on here about it. However, it doesn't seem to do it all of the time which other people weren't experiencing.
It has only started to happen in the past 2 weeks since my front drivers side tyre got a puncture. This might get a little confusing but please bare with me. What happened was...
I got my spare out which was flat (d'oh) but I managed to pump it up and it stayed pumped up so I thought it was fine so left it on the front drivers side. I took it to a garage to get a new tyre and got a new one put on the front passenger side (as the tread was running low) and put the tyre which was on the front passenger side in the boot as my spare. So what was my spare is on my front drivers side, I have a new tyre on the front passenger side and the old front passenger side tyre is now my spare.
Since then I noticed that the steering wheel seemed to judder when I got above 50ish but it wasn't doing it all the time, so I thought my old spare hadn't been balanced. I took it to the garage after a week and got the front drivers side balanced which seemed to help as the juddering wasn't as noticeable, but it was still there.
Then yesterday the front drivers side tyre (my original spare) went big style and pretty much split in 2 all the way around the tyre so I guess it wasn't ok after all. I put my spare on (originally my front passenger side with low tread) and carried on my way to work. After doing this I noticed the juddering was much less than before, so I thought maybe my original spare wheel might be buckled. Again the juddering was intermittent.
I took it to the garage and got a new tyre put on the front drivers side. So at this point I have got 2 brand new tyres on the front divers and passengers side and my original spare is back in the boot again. Then I was told my tracking was out so I got that done too.
Driving it today I noticed the juddering was less again, but it was still there so I am not really sure what it could be as it doesn't judder all of the time.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
