Internet problem any ideas?

Brothers computer is connected to the router via ethernet cable. Internet works fine when you first boot up but after about 10 mins it just slows down until its unworkable just slows right down so it takes 5 mins or more to open a page... It cant be the isp as he's just moved house to a new connection and its done this at both houses...... Any ideas???

check for spyware etc run a full clean up

just doing a clean install of windows will see what happens

Might be the router. Friend had a belkin one where whatever was connected to it via ethernet worked for 10min, then got slower and slower till it died. Wireless was fine on it though :S
