iPhone 4. Why are my deleted messages still showing in spotlight?

Not that I've got anything to hide but it is kinda annoying and would rather the spotlight didn't bring them up. I've searched online and people have been posting the same thing since 2007?!

This happening to anyone else? Any way around it?

Settings - general - spotlight search and un-tick messages.

They're still showing up as they're still on your phone. Would be a pretty bad search if they didn't come up, lol.

Go left on the home screen, it's the search function.

Spotlight lets yout search your whole phone for a particular word etc.
